Business Development Partner (B2B Premium Travel | Remote)

ExperienceFirst is a global tour operator running experiences in cities including Paris, New York, Barcelona, and Madrid.
Historically, we’ve focused on mass-market, direct-to-consumer tours. We’re now expanding into premium private day experiences, which you can learn more about on our premium website (www.experiencefirsttravel.com). We’re currently testing how to grow the premium side of the business through sales via travel advisors.
We already have an initial premium product offering in place. What we now need to understand is:
which travel advisors are most likely to sell it
how to get their attention and build trust
what support, messaging, and approach will actually lead to bookings
We’re looking for a commercially strong freelance partner to help us test this properly.
This role is about knowing how to identify the right people, start the right conversations, and turn interest into real traction. You’ll be focused on targeted outreach, relationship-building, and first-booking conversion.
What this role is responsible for
Your job is to help us open up and test the travel advisor channel.
That means figuring out which advisors, agencies, or travel trade contacts are worth speaking to, getting in front of them, building credibility quickly, and helping move them towards first bookings.
We need someone who is good at targeted outreach, commercially sharp, persistent, and confident building relationships from scratch.
Specifically, you will:
1. Build the right pipeline
Identify premium or luxury travel advisors, agencies, host groups, or trade contacts who are likely to be a strong fit for ExperienceFirst
Prioritise the people most likely to engage and most likely to book
Focus on advisors who work with affluent clients and regularly book premium private travel elements
2. Start conversations and build momentum
Reach out to relevant advisors and travel trade contacts
Get conversations started and build trust quickly
Adjust your approach based on what gets a response and what falls flat
Stay on top of follow-up and keep momentum moving
3. Help turn interest into bookings
Be a key contact for advisors during the early stages
Help them understand where our product fits and why it’s worth trying
Answer questions, handle objections, and help move them towards a first booking
Work with our internal team where needed to help opportunities progress
4. Share what you’re learning
Feed back what advisors are saying
Flag recurring objections, friction points, or reasons people aren’t moving
Share ideas on how we can improve traction
Who we’re looking for
This role is for someone who is skilled at business development and sales.
You do not need to come in with an existing luxury advisor network. What matters more is that you know how to build relationships, open doors, and create commercial traction.
We’re open on background, but strong candidates are likely to have experience in areas like:
business development
sales
partnerships
travel trade
DMCs
supplier-side travel sales
hospitality business development
luxury travel or premium service environments
other relationship-led B2B roles where trust, follow-up, and conversion really matter
Strong candidates will have several of the following:
3+ years in business development, sales, partnerships, or commercial roles
experience selling into travel, hospitality, or another relationship-led industry
experience building a pipeline and converting prospects
experience pitching or presenting products / services to external partners
confidence working autonomously and being judged on traction, not just activity
Success criteria
By the end of the pilot, success looks like:
a strong pipeline of relevant advisor / trade prospects has been built
a meaningful number of qualified conversations have been opened
first bookings have been generated from targeted outreach
we have clearer evidence on which outreach messages and advisor profiles are converting best
